This 5-days-per-week English Teaching Program offers a meaningful experience for backpackers passionate about education and cultural immersion. Located at Bright Course Lantan, Central Lombok, the program focuses on improving students’ English skills through interactive learning and community-based teaching. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of language education methods, community-based learning, and the challenges of rural education. By working alongside local tutors and community members, you will directly contribute to improving students’ language skills and confidence while experiencing authentic local life in Lombok.

Requirements
Minimum age: 18 years old (depending on the organizer’s policy).
Participants must be in good physical and mental condition, free from any serious illness.
Must complete a health or personal information form before the program begins.
No alcohol or recreational drugs are allowed during the program.
Must follow the briefing and instructions given by the coordinator or tutor.
Participants with prior teaching experience are encouraged to bring proof or certificates (if available).
Participants without teaching experience can still join under the guidance of tutors or local mentors.
Expected to maintain professionalism and respect local culture and community norms throughout the program.
Attend the celebration of Maulid Nabi Muhammad (the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday)
Take part in begawe (traditional Sasak wedding ceremony)
Join tahlilan (communal prayer gathering) with the local community

Accommodation: A private room is provided within the Bright Course Lantan area, offering a comfortable environment that supports teaching and learning activities.
Meals: Participants will receive three meals per day.
Laundry Service: Free laundry service is available for participants throughout the program.
Beverages: Complimentary tea and coffee are provided daily for participants’ comfort.
Exclude
Participants are responsible for their own flights and local transportation, including airport transfers and scooter rentals. While airport or harbor pickup is not directly provided, we are happy to assist in coordinating transportation through our trusted car and scooter rental partners.
Scooter rentals can be arranged separately and are not covered in the program cost.
Accommodation outside the official program dates is not provided.
Internet access
Travel insurance must be arranged individually by each participant.
All visa processing and vaccination fees are the responsibility of the participant.
Personal expenses such as souvenirs, snacks, and additional meals are not covered.
